Effective
Camino Retail Partners, Inc. (“Camino,” “we,” “us”) is a commercial retail leasing and advisory firm based in San Diego, California. Real estate brokerage services are provided through Harrison Alexander, Inc., CA DRE Lic. #02013712, our broker of record.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to caminoretail.com and to the information we handle in the ordinary course of our brokerage and advisory work.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you email us, call us, or contact us through the site, we receive your name, email address, phone number, company, and whatever you choose to tell us about your property, your business, or your requirements. If you meet with us or engage us, we collect the contact and business information needed to do the work.
Information we receive in the course of a transaction. Commercial leasing requires financial and operating information. Depending on your role in a transaction, we may receive or review business and personal financial statements, credit information, sales history, guarantor information, entity and ownership documentation, and similar records. We treat this information as confidential and use it only for the transaction or engagement it relates to.
Information collected automatically. Our website host records standard technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and time of visit. We use aggregate analytics to understand site traffic. We may also use third-party analytics services, such as Google Analytics, which collect similar information through cookies or comparable technologies.
Information from public and commercial sources. We use commercial real estate data services, public records, and professional networks to research properties, tenants, and market activity. This may include business contact information for people who work in the industry.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, provide brokerage and advisory services, evaluate and negotiate transactions, prepare proposals and market materials, send market commentary and property availabilities to business contacts, maintain transaction and brokerage records, operate and improve the site, and meet our legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not rent or trade our contact lists.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to do the work or as required by law, including with:
- Our broker of record, Harrison Alexander, Inc., which supervises our brokerage activity and maintains transaction records as required by California law.
- Parties to a transaction, including landlords, tenants, and their representatives. Sharing your information with a counterparty is the point of a proposal or a term sheet, and we do it in the ordinary course of representing our client.
- Co-brokers, attorneys, accountants, lenders, escrow and title companies, and consultants working on a transaction.
- Service providers that host our website, provide email, file storage, and email campaign delivery, and support our operations, under agreements limiting their use of the information.
- Government agencies, courts, and regulators, including the California Department of Real Estate, where required by law, subpoena, or license obligation.
Email from us
Most of our email is individual correspondence about a property, a transaction, or an inquiry. We also send occasional market commentary and property availabilities.
That occasional email goes to business and professional contacts: people who have contacted us, people we have corresponded or done business with, and people who work in commercial real estate and retail and would reasonably expect to hear from a brokerage about properties in their market. We do not buy or rent mailing lists, and we do not send to consumers.
We send commentary and property email through a third-party email marketing platform. That platform stores our contact list and records standard delivery and engagement data, including whether a message was delivered and opened and which links were clicked. We use that information to understand what our contacts find useful. Blocking images in your email client limits open tracking.
Our commentary and property email identifies us and includes our mailing address, an unsubscribe link, and a one-click unsubscribe option in the message header. You can also opt out of that email at any time by emailing admin@caminoretail.com with “unsubscribe” in the subject. We process opt-outs promptly and in all cases within the time the law requires. Opting out does not stop individual correspondence about a property, inquiry, or transaction you are part of.
Cookies and analytics
The site does not use advertising cookies and we do not run behavioral advertising. Our host and any analytics services we use may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure traffic and site performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them. Where we receive a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, which we do not do in any event.
Retention
We keep transaction records for the period California real estate law requires, which is at least three years from the close of a transaction or from the date of a listing or contract, and longer where a tax, legal, or contractual reason applies. We keep business contact information for as long as the relationship is active or the information remains relevant to our work.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including access controls and encrypted storage and transmission through our service providers. We operate in the United States and store information with service providers located in the United States.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting personal information occurs, we will notify affected individuals and the appropriate authorities as required by law. Please do not send sensitive financial documents by unencrypted email; ask us for a secure alternative.
Your choices and California privacy rights
You may ask us to provide the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. California residents may also ask us to disclose the categories of personal information we have collected and the categories of third parties we share it with. To make a request, email admin@caminoretail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we may retain information we are required to keep as a licensed brokerage.
Under California Civil Code §1798.83, California residents may request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.
Children
The site is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Third-party links
The site links to third-party sites and social platforms, including LinkedIn and Instagram. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Their policies govern what they collect.
Changes
We will update this policy as our practices change and will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be posted on this page.
